Biomedical informatics

The masters study program branch Biomedical informatics aids to educate computer professionals understanding basic principals of functioning of living organisms (from molecular and cellular level up to human physiology) as well as current tasks, procedures and problems of medical care. The mandatory subjects provide the students with deep insight into the most important application domains of informatics in medicine and with reliable theoretical knowledge in informatics – this background makes it possible for the students to take active part in one of the promising fields of research and development e.g. in the form of diploma thesis:

  • Bioinformatics
  • Neuroinformatics,
  • Assistive technologies and e-health systems or
  • Medical informatics and clinical information systems.

The recommended schema of the study plan is available in the section downloads.
